We had a great experience shopping for my Mum’s Mother of the Bride outfit in February this year for my wedding this September. Fatma was so helpful and welcoming, especially as we made an appointment very last minute to come to the shop. She had a great eye and actually picked out the outfit and matching hat that my Mum ended up choosing (a Veni Infantino dress)! The whole experience was an enjoyable one; my Mum didn’t feel rushed, and was able to try on a lot of options before settling on her outfit. My Mum -Tara Rolph and I visited Sofi Bridal today for a Mother of the Bride dress and wow! Fatma was absolutely incredible, she put my Mum at ease straight away and just knew exactly what would suit my Mum and what wouldn’t. Her experience is evident- she absolutely 100% knows what she is talking about which was fantastic. We weren’t expecting to find a dress today as it was our first go at MOTB dress shopping but we’ve come away with a dress and a hatinator that matches it perfectly. We couldn’t believe how much choice there was for dresses and hats/ fascinators of many popular MOTB designers and at no point were we rushed or pressured into buying anything. This place is a hidden gem and I would thoroughly recommend paying a visit for any wedding outfits you might be looking for. Thank you so much Fatma and your assistant (apologies I didn’t catch your name!) for being so helpful and just lovely- we will be sure to send pictures after the wedding!

Sofi Bridal was exceptional. We had an incredibly warm welcome and they were very patient with me while I selected a style to suit me. In the end it was Laura, one of their wonderful team members, who picked my dress based on my preferences and I knew immediately it was the one. I even shed a few tears! They advised how they could have the straps tailored when I was concerned they were too thin for me and it worked out perfectly. To top it off my Mum ended up finding her MOB dress there and she looked totally gorgeous too. Two very happy customers and one bride who is devastated she won’t get to wear her dress again!!

I purchased my stunningly gorgeous mother of the groom outfit just before lockdown in 2020. My son’s wedding was postponed until 2021 and finally happened at the end of September. Buying the outfit was a simple process with Fatma giving me her expert advice, helping me choose a range of different outfits to try on. We eventually both agreed on the one I proceeded to buy. It was important for me to have an outfit that wouldn’t be replicated by anyone on the big day. I would thoroughly recommend that you visit Fatma for either a wedding gown, of which she seemingly has hundreds of stunning designs, or your mother of the bride/groom outfit. You will not be disappointed!!

Speaking from someone who managed a bridal shop for three years, the service and welcome we received having pre booked an appointment before the pandemic hit us was wonderful. Staff were so friendly, you could browse initially get the feel of the gowns, with some recommendations given too of course, then get down to the trying on and accessorising. We were married also before covid restrictions were lifted. Having read some less glowing reviews, I will say this there are contracts ‘you should read’ that are very standard when you purchase such important attire, and I’m only too happy after 20 years (and the pandemic) Sofi designs are still there, no they are not on the High Street, they are in a great location, easy to park with a starbucks in the next road perfect! I drove over an hour with my mum to visit them as they had a dress I really wanted to try. Thank you so much Fatma and team, I can’t recommend you enough. We had the perfect day getting married and my dress was just beautiful.

I had my dream wedding on 11.08.18, 13 months earlier I first met Fatma in her beautiful shop. my mum and I had not planned to go outfit shopping (in fact I remember that as clear as day as I got undressed in the shop worried that my old grey bra and unshaved legs would make me look a bit of a plonker!!!. However I felt quite the opposite and how wrong was I). Fatma and her team welcomed my mum and I with open arms. We were made to feel looked after and we were treated like royalty throughout our visit. Fatma helped me find my dream dress. She patiently talked me through what would look great and did not just allow me to choose dresses that I thought would work. (Ladies go in with an open mind because what you think you want and might look good on you doesn’t always happen!!!). I wanted a figure hugging tight fitted lace dress, but came out with a gorgeous long and heavy satin gown. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and that was all down to Sofi Designs Bridal. My mum even got her Mother of the bride outfit and her shoes plus a hat from Fatma to!. This business is the best place I have ever purchased anything from. You are made to feel worthwhile, valued and looked after but the care and attention isn’t false or pushy, it’s heartfelt, warm and genuine. Fatma gave me my dream dress for my dream wedding and I would recommend her in a heartbeat. I just hope that I get to return in the future to perhaps by an outfit for someone else’s wedding so I can say hello to Fatma and shop in the only dress shop I would wish to return to. Being a “bigger” bride I was fairly nervous about trying on dresses. I tried on a few and as lovely as they were, it wasn’t what I wanted… I then found “the” dress – it was perfect, I wanted it! It was however a size 8 so I couldn’t try it on … Fatma was certain that it would suit me in every way and we agreed to order it. She took my measurements and I completely broke down as my “weight” put into inches depressed me greatly. Fatma was amazing, she sat me down and reassured me that she would not order me a dress that she felt would not suit me, she was so complimentary, it lifted me back up.

Phenomenal, amazing, an experience in itself just being in Fatmas presence!!
Follows up her emails with a phone call just to make sure, you as the bride doesn’t feel you have been ignored! (My return email address for response had a typo)
I was very disheartened by other experiences I had had that day. Then I receive my phone call. I come into this amazing shop. Greeted by the most friendly most accommodating lady.
I am pregnant and looking to get married before my baby is due and nothing was too much trouble. I actually was made to feel like I was a princess and nothing was too much to do for me. Fatma knows her dresses. Ohh my gosh. I tried on 3 dresses and a vale. And I felt so special.
Came back 2 days later and put a deposit down on my wedding dress.
I cannot recommend this Lady and her expertise and just such a warm environment more. If you want to feel special. Come to Sofi Designs Bridal Shop. I could not be happier!!

Hi Fatma – I now have my beautiful shoes and have tried them on with the complete outfit and am very pleased. They have been beautifully dyed and are very comfortable and flattering too. Exactly the style I was looking for. The only item not from you was my handbag…and it looked lovely on the day and guess what, it fell apart! Literally!! At the end of the day it sat in a bin in two parts – the chain and clasp and the clutch bit. So many people told me I looked stunning and I felt fabulous too!! The moment we entered Sofi Designs we knew we had come somewhere very special to choose a wedding dress.

Two things impressed us immediately, the stunning stock of beautiful garments and the warmth and energy of Fatma, who made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, Fatma obviously knows her stock very well knowing which dresses will suit the bride to be. We welcomed her ideas and honesty.

This was the first and last wedding dress shop we visited and, amazingly, the first dress tried on was the one chosen. Everything from then on went exactly as planned, the dress arrived to order and after the final fitting we left with the dress of my daughters dreams.

However, some weeks later we needed to turn to Fatma for help when a surprise bump meant the wedding dress wasn’t going to fit on the wedding day! Fatma calmed down a panicked mum and came up with a genius solution to extend the dress. Sarah-Jane’s expertise left us with a beautiful flowing dress which has vastly been altered, but looked like an original design, thanks to the generosity of Fatma and her ability to think outside the box.

It takes a really good bridal supplier to find the perfect dress for each bride, but it takes an exceptional one to pull out all the stops when the chips are down.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Sofi Designs for my beautiful dress (and especially to Lottie for insisting I try it in the first place).
I couldn’t have asked for a better service- especially as I’m not a dress kinda girl- you made me feel so comfortable and the whole process of choosing the all-important dress so simple and enjoyable.

Felt a million dollars in this dress!

I cannot begin to thank you for my beautiful wedding dress from White One.

It was everything which I had dreamed about and more! Fatma’s customer service is first class; I went to the shop numerous times in the run up to the wedding and she was always so welcoming, so calm, and she would do anything to make sure everything was absolutely perfect.

Even with last minute dress crisis the day before the wedding Fatma helped to make sure the seamstress had perfected the dress and even had some suggestions to help hitch up the train.
We also bought our bridesmaids dresses from Sofi Designs and they really were stunning.

My Mum also got her mother of the bride outfit from Fatma too! Everything was perfect, thank you so so much.

P.S you were right – he did cry when he saw me!
